Introduction to computer applications in civil engineering. Emphasis on analysis, mathematical problem-skills with computer tools as well as hand techniques.

Course Goals

 

At the end of this course, students should be able to

  • Use, create, and modify scripts in MATLAB (and probably spreadsheets in MS EXCEL) to solve selected mathematical problems assigned in future classes.
  • Prepare oral + written presentations in class.
